At the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, one of the 86 institutes of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, physicists, chemists and biologists create knowledge of long-term relevance to life and basic medical sciences.
A postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Chemical Biology (Prof. Kai Johnsson, https://www.mr.mpg.de/13943495/chemical_biology ) of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg. The applicant will join an international team to develop new drugs for the treatment of neuropathic pain. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and synthesis of new lead compounds and their evaluation in various cellular assays.
Applicants should have experiences in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology.
