This is a University Hospital position as Head of the Division of Intensive Care, including a part of professor’s position. This position is attached to the academic and hospital Departments of Anesthesiology, Clinical Pharmacology, Intensive Care, and Emergency Medicine.

The candidate should have an extensive clinical record in intensive care along with outstanding managerial and leadership skills to lead a state-of-the-art division whose role is central to the care of patients in critical medical situations and to the medical and surgical operations of the HUG. She-He should also have abilities to collaborate with other Hospital Divisions in a transversal perspective.

The candidate should possess the capacity to conduct high-level clinical and translational research in the area of intensive care medicine. In addition, he-she will have proven mentoring skills, and be dedicated to a strong medical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as the Division is an important training center for critical medicine.

TITLES AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

M.D. title and board certification in critical care medicine, or equivalent, are required.

Good knowledge of French.

Relevant experience as an independent investigator and teacher. Publications in international journals.

STARTING DATE: October 1st 2024, or upon agreement
