American dies after using chloroquine to prevent coronavirus

A sixty-year-old man died in Arizona, United States, after consuming a teaspoon of chloroquine phosphate, the American chain NBC News reported.

The couple had no symptoms of infection, but “we were afraid of getting sick,” said his wife, who also ingested the substance believed to cure the coronavirus. In about 20 minutes, “I started to vomit,” she reports, and her husband had “nausea and then difficulty breathing. “The man died quickly after being taken to the hospital. The woman was saved because she spit out some of the absorbed chloroquine.

Chloroquine is not unanimous
The couple said they were persuaded by the words of Donald Trump who praised the miraculous healing powers of this drug normally recommended against malaria. On Monday again, the American president explained to a press briefing: “There is a good chance that this drug will have a huge impact. It would be a gift from heaven if it worked. It would really be a change of game. We’ll see. ”
In France, the molecule is not unanimous either. Monday evening, the High Council of Public Health declared that the drug could be prescribed on the “serious cases” of Covid-19 but not on the patients “less serious”. One of the great defenders of chloroquine in France is Professor Raoult, a practitioner from Marseille. For him, an important use must be made to treat the sick and stem the pandemic of coronavirus.
