Vancouver Island University invites applications for a full-time, permanent faculty position as a Psychology Professor.

We seek applicants who share our passion for high-quality undergraduate education and can skillfully infuse their teaching with their scholarly work. As an open-access institution, VIU welcomes a wide range of students, many of whom are first-generation learners in a post-secondary environment. We offer both a BSc and BA Psychology degree option. The successful candidate for this faculty position will mentor students in research and scholarly activity as well as remaining responsive to diverse cultural and academic backgrounds and learning styles. In addition, you are skilled in fostering a climate of inclusion and effective support for student success.

Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or equivalent in neuropsychology or clinical neuropsychology from an APA or CPA-accredited institution.

• Experience in successfully teaching courses in neuropsychology or clinical neuropsychology.
• An established research program that complements the interests and expertise of current faculty.
• Active ongoing participation in professional development activities.
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology relevant to the position.
• Ability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
