About
Mitacs Elevate is a postdoctoral fellowship with an exclusive professional development program. Researchers tackle complex challenges by:
- an exclusive professional development program for postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines;
- a two-year research project with a partner organization requiring high-level expertise;
- an analysis of the partner organization’s project, developed in order to present the objectives, risks and success criteria of the project stakeholders and thus ensure the value of the project.
Researchers progress through the program as a cohort, providing them with interdisciplinary networking and peer-to-peer learning opportunities that they might not otherwise have access to in their careers.
During the two-year placement, researchers divide their time between their partner organization’s project and educational institution research with their supervising professor.
medjouel.com informs you that Elevation scholarship recipients receive:
- minimum annual allowance / salary of $ 55,000 (for scholarships awarded after April 1, 2018);
- exclusive professional development program valued at $ 7,500 per year;
- support in preparing the proposal, including feedback on request from Mitacs representatives;
- certificate of completion upon receipt of their survey and completion report.
