The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation of Canada offers a graduate scholarship to women who meet the following qualifications:

  1. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen; and

  2. Applicant’s Ph.D. studies must be in progress.

The application deadline for fiscal 2022 is March 15, 2022.

Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?

Any female Canadian citizen currently enrolled in and pursuing a Ph.D. program is eligible to apply. Permanent Residents are NOT eligible for this award. You do not have to be a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation of Canada to apply. You also do not have to be a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity to apply.

When is the scholarship application due?

If you are sending your application by mail, it must be postmarked by March 15. 2022. If you are sending your application by email (except for your transcripts, which you need to send by mail), then you must send it by March 15, 2022.

Is there a filing fee?

No, there is no filing fee to apply to the scholarship.

Can I send my application by courier?

Do I have to be a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation of Canada to apply for a scholarship?

No.

Do I have to be a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity to apply for a scholarship?

No.

If I am mailing my reference letters with my application, do they each need to be sealed separately from my application?

Yes.

Can my reference letters be sent separately from my application?

Yes, you can ask your referees to send their letters to the Foundation directly.

Can my referees email their references for me?

Yes, your referees can email their references for you to scholarship@kkgfoundationofcanada.org.

Can I send photocopies of my transcripts with my application?

No, you must arrange to send original transcripts.

Transcripts may be sent electronically from the school to scholarship@kkgfoundationofcanada.org

Will each applicant be contacted once the scholarship recipient(s) have been selected?

No, only the successful applicant(s) will be contacted.

When will the successful applicant(s) be contacted?

The successful applicant(s) will be contacted in late June.  The winners will also be announced on this website and social media.

Can I have my referees send their reference letters in French?

Yes.
