2 Postdoctoral positions: Shaping AI and uncertainty mindsets at work
The Chair of Work and Organizational Psychology (Prof. Gudela Grote) is inviting applications for two postdoctoral positions to contribute to ongoing research in two domains: (1) Socio-technical design of AI systems; and (2) Uncertainty regulation and interventions.
Job description
The postdoctoral researchers will contribute to one or both main research streams in the group which concern concepts and methods to foster (1) the alignment of control and accountability for AI developers and users in industrial settings and (2) the development and implementation of interventions to support an “uncertainty-as-enhancing” mindset for employees in various work domains. Involvement in existing projects and collaboration with PhD students is expected. The postdoctoral researchers are also encouraged to establish their personal research portfolio. They can benefit from the group’s excellent research network and the inspiring context created by a top university. Teaching PhD seminars and supporting MSc students in project work are part of the job as well. The positions are available from April 1, 2024, and are funded for two years.
Your profile
- You should have a PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or related fields.
- Prior experience in research on topics related to the current position and a strong publication record are expected.
- Knowledge of a broad range of methodological approaches from ethnographical observations to experimental designs and of the respective qualitative and quantitative analytic methods is a plus.
- An excellent command of English and preferably also German is required.
- You should be highly committed and self-driven individuals, striving to excel in a top-level, dynamic environment. They need to be able to work well in a team and have strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
