Reflective practise (RP) is widely regarded as a key characteristic for professional competence. In the sporting world, RP is central to coach development and improvement. The purpose of this study will be to develop a protocol and ultimately an overarching strategy for the integration of technology enabled coach education at third level. The project aims to enhance the capacity of lecturers to create an accelerated learning environment for undergraduate coaches within the constraints of a modularised semester. It will provide undergraduate coaches with a robust tool to develop excellence in reflective practice and the provision of feedback

Eligibility
Qualifications/Research Skills/Aptitudes
-A Level 8 Degree qualification at minimum 2.1 grade in Sports Management, Coaching, Sports Science or related field.
-Completion of an undergraduate thesis project/research methods training
-Excellent communication skills, in particular, report writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.
-Strong time management and organisational skills, an ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Qualifications/Skills/Aptitudes
– A Masters qualification demonstrating further research experience
– Sports Coaching experience
– Evidence of expertise in collecting qualitative date through interviews or focus groups
– Evidence of expertise in data management and analysis
