PhD Position in Inorganic Chemistry

The Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Chemnitz University of Technology offers an employment for a Research Assistant/PhD candidate at the professorship Inorganic Chemistry. The Kretschmer Lab utilizes main-group chemistry for the design and understanding of catalytic reactions and novel materials.

The advertised position will be involved in the development of new concepts that combine main-group element and transition-metal chemistry aiming to acccess new catalysts and photoactive materials. The work includes organometallic synthesis, reactivity and catalysis studies as well as kinetic method aiming to understand the reaction mechanisms. Furthermore, the position is associated with teaching dueties (2 hours/week).

The position (50 %, E 13 TV-L) is available for a three-year period and should be filled between January 1st and March 1st 2024. The successfull applicant should meet the requirements listed below.
