7 foods that accelerate skin aging and 7 protect it

In her report published by the Russian site “FBI Re”, the author Julia Lubach presented a list of the 10 worst foods that negatively affect our skin and cause us to age quickly, so we must be careful when consuming it:

1- Sugar
The author said that sugar is responsible for weight gain, wrinkles and sagging skin.

2- Fats
The author added that these trans fats are mainly found in fast food, French fries, canned and frozen foods and all kinds of unhealthy foods. In fact, not only do these fats increase the risk of heart disease, but they also complicate the work of the arteries and weaken blood flow to the skin, which leads to signs of premature aging.

On the other hand, the author said that healthy fats are absolutely necessary for the body and the freshness and beauty of the skin, because they reduce the risk of infections and promote hair growth and strengthen cell membranes, which limits the loss of water in the skin cells.

The author has proposed a set of foods that contain healthy fats and that it is recommended to consume regularly to maintain the aesthetics of the skin, such as salmon, avocado, almonds and nuts.

3- Salt causes water retention
The author explained that excessive consumption of salt generally occurs after eating foods such as cheese, pizza and potatoes. Generally, an excessive intake of salt causes the body to retain water, causing swelling of the face. In addition, salt causes cell damage and dehydration. In addition, the lack of fluid in the body gives the skin a dry and wrinkled appearance, so the signs of aging will appear early.

4- Coffee and caffeine cause skin dryness
The author indicated that caffeine is a diuretic, which makes your body get rid of liquids, which reduces the degree of humidity. In fact, it makes the skin dry and brittle. Therefore, additional amounts of water should be taken after each cup of coffee, as well as the use of a skin moisturizer.

5- Factory meat and sausage

The author said that although many people like sausage and processed meat which contains a lot of salt and preservatives, the consumption of this processed meat leads to dehydration and infections. In addition, these products reduce the level of vitamin C in the body, an important component in the production of collagen. Therefore, doctors advise you to replace these foods with chicken and turkey, or at least reduce their consumption and eat more vegetables.
