Applications are invited for Ad Astra Fellowships within the UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. Candidates must have a PhD in one of the Subject Areas taught within the School (French; German; Italian; Linguistics; Portuguese; Spanish). Preference may be given to candidates working in School fields that are new or expanding. A university teaching qualification or demonstrable engagement with continuous professional development in pedagogy and pedagogic innovation is welcome. Candidates with demonstrable EDI awareness are particularly encouraged to apply.

The School hosts postdoc colleagues, welcomes PhD students and offers three separate MA programmes: MA in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics; MA in Modern Languages; and MA in Languages and Image Studies. SLCL has been awarded the Athena Swan Bronze Medal and is currently working towards its renewal.
