The University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Applicants should have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and will be expected to develop and conduct a nationally competitive research program relevant to the multidisciplinary field of nutrition and health with an emphasis on personalized nutrition. Although applications in all research areas will be considered and are encouraged, areas of targeted interest include the control of metabolism via cellular and inter-organ regulatory networks, digestive biology and disease, nutrition and epigenetics, dietary interactions, and the effects of environmental factors on nutrition and metabolism. Research may incorporate biochemical, physiological, metabolic, genomic and/or clinical approaches. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nutritional sciences, mentor graduate students in their research, and contribute to university service including programs aimed at increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the department, college, and university. Teaching and service responsibilities will be commensurate with college expectations and consistent with the teaching and service loads of other faculty in the college of Agriculture and Life Science.

This is a full-time 9-month academic appointment. A competitive salary, benefits and start-up package will be available.
