Faculty position openings in all ranks – Research Center for Carbon-based Electronics, Peking University

The research center for carbon based electronics (RCCE) in Peking University is a newly established center for frontier research on carbon nanotube and other novel channel materials for next generation computing. We have a state-of-the-art clean room with advanced device fabrication capabilities including e-beam lithography, ion beam etching, metal deposition and sputtering, atomic layer deposition as well as well-arranged material characterization and electrical characterization equipment. We are well-funded for the next decade which ensures sustainable development. We offer internationally competitive package and are negotiable case by case.

We are seeking applicants for all ranks including assistant professor/associate professor/professor in the area of material synthesis, electronic devices, circuits and applications. We also have multiple openings in the all the ranks of research professors, and post-doctor positions. The area of interest includes but is not limited to carbon-based and other novel channel material synthesis, novel device architecture and heterostructures, modeling and simulation of digital circuits, advanced nodes of CMOS technology, radio frequency devices and MMIC, interconnect and device integration, as well as IC design, algorithm and architecture.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field. Postdoctoral experience is preferred but not required for the tenure-track positions. Industrial experience is preferred for the research professor positions with dedication of team work. Applications should be submitted electronically to Ms. Hu ( youfanhu@pku.edu.cn ) and include the following: curriculum-vitae including a publication list.

Specific Requirements for research faculty positions

  • Completed PhD in Physics, Materials Sciences, Electrical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Profound knowledge and experience in at least one area of microelectronics and integrated circuits.
  • Team work ability in target-oriented topics, self-driven with commitment to problem solving.
  • Extensive experience in microelectronics industry rather than scientific publication is preferred.
