ImPulsTanz danceWEB Scholarship Programme for EU and Non-EU Students in Austria

Every year, the danceWEB Scholarship Programme offersa scholarship comprising participation in all workshops, research projects aswell as attendance at all performances of the ImPulsTanz festival plus mentoringby an artistic coach to about 60 dancers and emerging choreographers from morethan 40 countries.

The Scholarship Programme is a five-weekfurther training programme taking place every year in July andAugust in Vienna within the ImPulsTanz – Vienna International DanceFestival. In order to achieve both its educational and artistic goals, theScholarship Programme is supervised each year by artistic mentors selectedamongst dance personalities, who have played a decisive part on aninternational level in the development of contemporary dance in recentyears. Mentors so far among others: Mathilde Monnier, Jonathan Burrows,David Zambrano, Sarah Michelson, DD Dorvillier, Ivo Dimchev, Chris Haring, TinoSehgal, Doris Uhlich, Meg Stuart and Florentina Holzinger.

The scholarship includes among others:

·        Participation inthe Research Projects of ImPulsTanz (Pro Series & Field Projects)

·        Participation inthe technique workshops of ImPulsTanz (more than 200 workshops by over 90teachers)

·        Free admissionto all performances of ImPulsTanz

·        Exchange ofideas and contact with the international teachers and choreographers ofImPulsTanz

·        Special projectsexclusively offered to danceWEB scholarship holders

·        Representationin the yearly growing, international danceWEB-database

·        Lecture demonstrations and talks

·        Free accommodation

·        Mentoring byartistic mentor(s)
