The University of Newcastle is committed to providing support to the best international students in the hope of pursuing a research program. We are pleased to offer a small number of NUORS university-funded scholarships to exceptional international students who apply to start doctoral studies in any subject in 2020/21.

Program period

not more than 3 years.

The scholarship is valid for the normal duration of the doctorate (no more than 3 years).

Eligibility conditions (criteria)

You may be eligible to request a NUORS price if:

    • you have been offered a place in a doctoral research program
    • you have been assessed as international / overseas for fee purposes and you are fully or partially self-funded
  • you intend to register to start your studies during the academic year 2020/21.
  • NUORS scholarship applications cannot be made for a course already started by a student.
  • The medjouel.com team informs you that candidates must already have obtained a place in a doctoral research program before applying. Applications submitted without this will not be taken into account.
  • applicants must apply for a program of study based on our Newcastle campus; courses based in London, Malaysia or Singapore are not eligible for this award.

Opportunity cost

(Partial funding)

  • This price covers the difference between the national and foreign fee rates (values ​​to be confirmed once the tuition fees for 2020/2021 have been published).

How to register

You must have already applied and offered a place to study at the University of Newcastle before applying for a NUORS award.

First step:  start by   creating an account   on our portal.

Second step:  please complete the  NUORS application form online and in accordance with NUORS regulations. You will also need to provide the contact details of an academic referee; the University will then contact your arbitrator directly.
