INRS offers advantageous scholarship program

INRS offers its own scholarship programs, for which students registered in the pure and applied sciences and the social sciences are eligible.

Consult the following calendar for the dates on which the INRS scholarships are paid.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IN PURE AND APPLIED SCIENCES

Who can benefit from the scholarship program in pure and applied sciences?

  1. The regular full-time student, enrolled in one of the master’s or doctoral programs offered at the Center Eau Terre Environment, Energy Materials Telecommunications and Armand-Frappier Health Biotechnology
  2. Students enrolled in a program of studies in pure and applied sciences managed jointly with INRS or offered in association with another university establishment

Basic amounts

 

The regular full-time student who does not receive any scholarship from an external organization will receive this basic amount for the eligible period:

 

Professional Masters *: $ 2,790 per term

 

Master’s: $ 5,540 per term

 

Doctorate: $ 6,455 per term

 

* The Center Eau Terre Environnement improves the scholarship for students admitted to the professional master’s degree in water sciences for the first 2 terms of registration. In these cases, students receive a scholarship 5 $ 540 (for the 3 th and last quarter, the stock market is $ 2 790) .
SOCIAL SCIENCE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Who can benefit from the INRS social sciences scholarship program?

  1. Regular full-time students enrolled in one of the study programs offered at the Center Urbanization Culture Société
  2. Students enrolled in a social science program administered jointly with INRS or offered in association with another university establishment
Types of scholarships
There are three types of scholarships for the social science sector:
  1. universal doctoral scholarship for student (s) 3 e registered cycle (s) full-time in a doctoral program;
  2. specialization scholarships for student (s) 2 e cycle part (s) full-time in a Master’s program;
  3. admission excellence scholarships for students enrolled in INRS urban studies programs offered jointly with the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Basic amounts 

 

Regular full-time students who do not receive an excellence scholarship from an external organization will receive this basic amount for the eligible period: 

 

Professional Masters: $ 4,075 per term 

 

Master’s: $ 5,000 per term

 

Doctorate: $ 5,000 the first year | $ 4,000 the following two years

The calculation of the amount of excellence admission scholarships for programs in urban studies is negotiated by INRS and UQAM.


Payment of scholarships

regular full-time student in a study program in pure and applied sciences receives an INRS scholarship for four (4) terms consecutive to their first registration for the master’s degree or for eight (8) terms following his first registration for the doctorate.
For students enrolled in a social science program , specialization scholarships are paid as follows: three (3) to four (4) consecutive terms on their first enrollment in the master’s program and six (6) ) eight (8) terms upon first registration for the doctorate.

INRS offers foreign students enrolled in a curriculum 2 e or 3 e cycle and experiencing financial difficulties for reasons deemed exceptional a work-study program to enable them to continue their training.
