Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for one tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Finance and Economics in the Faculty of Business AdministrationThe academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. The position will commence on August 1, 2020.

The Thunder Bay campus of the Faculty of Business Administration is accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA).

Review of applications will begin on April 20, 2020 and continue until the position is filled. The electronic application (in the form of one PDF document) should include: a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness (including a statement of teaching philosophy, course outlines and teaching evaluations for previously-taught courses), a statement of a research plan (current and future interests), copies of the three most significant publications, and the names and contact information of three references. A completed Confirmation of Eligibility to Work in Canada form must accompany your package. The position will involve an active program of scholarly research; teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, economics, quantitative analysis, and related topics; supervision of Masters students’ research; and service contributions to the Faculty and the University.

Candidates will have a Ph.D. or DBA (or close to completion) in Finance or Economics from a school recognized by Canadian universities. A professional designation in a relevant discipline (or a willingness to work towards one) will be considered an asset.
