Trump threatens to close facebook and twitter

Twitter, Facebook…: Donald Trump threatens to “close” social networks after reporting his tweets.
“Republicans believe that social media platforms completely censor the voices of conservatives. We are going to severely regulate them, or shut them down, so as not to allow that to happen, ”tweeted Donald Trump.

Frequently accused of laxity in its treatment of the remarks made by the leaders, Twitter reported for the first time the messages of Donald Trump of Tuesday, by adding the mention: “Check the facts”.

This included a billionaire tweet claiming that postal voting was necessarily “fraudulent”.

Returning to the attack on the subject, the president wrote on Wednesday morning: “We cannot allow postal voting to take root in our country. This would represent a blank check for fraud, forgery and theft of votes. ”

“Whoever cheats best could win. Similarly, for social networks. Take it back NOW! ! ! ! Added the president in a series of morning tweets.

The president also accused the social network of having interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign.

“We saw what they tried to do, and it was a failure, in 2016. We cannot let a more sophisticated version happen again,” he said.

Misinformation has been seen as particularly crucial by Facebook and other platforms since attempts to manipulate the U.S. presidential election and the Brexit referendum in 2016.

Twitter, on the other hand, did not follow up on Donald Trump’s other vitriolic messages published Tuesday morning in which he relayed an infamous conspiracy theory against MSNBC cable presenter Joe Scarborough.

Several websites and blogs have fueled the idea that the then elected Republican Mr. Scarborough murdered his parliamentary assistant Lori Klausutis in 2011, without any tangible evidence to support it.

“Twitter is stifling FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION,” said Donald Trump, whose account has more than 80 million subscribers.
