Postdoctoral Associate – Chaperones and Diseases

We currently have a postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. James Bardwell at the University of Michigan.  The Bardwell lab utilizes directed evolution; protein design; and a variety of cutting-edge structural, biological, and genetic approaches in the discovery and characterization of chaperones and to address human maladies, including phenylketonuria and nicotine dependence.  The lab is innovative, friendly, well-funded and safely operating in a COVID aware fashion.  More information can be found on their website.

Successful candidates will have been trained in directed evolution or structural biology, or biochemistry or bacterial or yeast genetics.  Candidates with a strong publication record are preferred. Completion of a PhD in a related field is required by start date.
