Postdoctoral Fellow/Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Sciences

Dr. Udai P. Singh, Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Sciences, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. The Postdoc Fellow will join Dr. Singh’s team focused on obesity and inflammation, metabolism and cancer prevention.  The Postdoc Fellow will work closely with Dr. Singh and colleagues to develop scientific and communication skills with the goal of securing extramural funding critical for the Postdoctoral Fellow future success as an independent investigator.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will also lead efforts to develop new research projects, write scientific reports and grants on obesity bladder inflammation—interdisciplinary and collaborative in nature, will be responsible for writing needed technical documentation or significant portions of work that may be published as well as possible presentation at local, national and international conferences.

At least two to three years of related research experience required, with significant training in flow cytometry, mice handling, drugs injection, cellular immunology, western blot, PCR and ELISA assays, excellent written and oral communications, ability to demonstrate independent leadership and provide direction to research team when needed.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in immunology, Physiology, Microbiology or Biological Sciences.
