There are 60 scholarships available for new full-time and part-time students studying for master’s degrees taught in any subject.
The scholarship is offered as a £ 4000 reduction in tuition fees.
Am I eligible?
You must have received an offer to study a postgraduate degree taught at Royal Holloway.
Applications for the Royal Holloway Director’s Masters Scholarships are assessed based on academic performance to date.
Applicants with international fee status must have obtained, or be expected to obtain, at least a 2: 1 undergraduate degree or equivalent , preference being given to those who have obtained a first class degree (in countries where this is possible).
Applicants with home / EU tuition status must have obtained, or be expected to obtain, a first class undergraduate degree or equivalent.
How to apply
You must apply through Royal Holloway Direct .
Applications for 2020 are now closed. If you have applied, we will notify you of the outcome of your application from July 21, 2020.
Application guidelines
You must provide proof of 400 words maximum, which must include:
- Academic achievements you are especially proud of and why they really matter to you
- Why you chose to do the degree you applied for
- What are your future aspirations and how the scholarship will help you achieve your future goals
Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above.
Terms and conditions
When a prize is awarded to applicants for a two-year master’s degree, no additional payment or tuition discount is offered in the second year of a two-year master’s degree.
£ 4000 will be spent and awarded in the first 2 years for part-time students.
