The University of Ottawa is accepting applications for several doctoral and masters scholarships, as well as postdoctoral fellowships. These awards provide salary support for trainees to conduct leading-edge research related to the interrelationship between food, nutrition, digestion, absorption, nutrient bioavailability, gut microbiota and mental well-being, under the supervision of a professor at the School of Nutrition Sciences. The deadline for submission of applications is April 30th 2021, at 4pm EST.
The recently created School of Nutrition Sciences, within the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, includes specialists in nutrition, food chemistry and microbiology, functional foods development and processing, and gut microbiology fields, as well as nutritionists and dietitians, providing a continuum of research capacity in Food for Health. Combined with state-of-the-art laboratories, the School offers an unparallel research environment., where trainees will benefit from expertise of the existing multidisciplinary team and gain important skills for the in agri-food and health sectors.
