Job summary
McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management is calling for candidates for one or more open tenure-track positions in the Strategy and Organization sector, subject to budget approval. The appointment is scheduled for August 1, 2022. Applicants must have a doctorate (or about to become) in management, entrepreneurship, strategy or organizational theory, or in a related discipline such as sociology or economics. Doctoral students who have exceptional potential and who expect to have met the requirements for this degree by December 2022 will also be considered. We are particularly interested in applications in research and teaching focused on organization theory, sustainable development, strategy or entrepreneurship. We will also consider applications from other sub-disciplines.

Successful candidates will have to demonstrate their ability to carry out cutting-edge research projects on a subject of interest and producing concrete results. Ideally, they will have proven teaching skills, relevant publication experience in high quality peer-reviewed journals, and a clear interest in conducting important and innovative research whose results may appear in the literature. best reviews of organizational strategy and theory such as those featured in our Desautels 22 ranking. They will also need to work actively with doctoral students, teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and participate in the administration of the sector and the Faculty. Although instruction is in English, knowledge of French or a willingness to learn this language is an asset.

Remuneration, teaching load, research funds and travel expenses are competitive and established on the basis of experience.
