C4E-Digital Ambassadors program to train 1000 young Africans

Launched by the African Development Bank, in partnership with Microsoft, the C4E-Digital Ambassadors program aims to train a new generation of digital ambassadors in basic personal skills, entrepreneurship, self-employment and digital skills. through a peer learning model. The program makes a bet on the capacities of young Africans to unleash Africa’s untapped potential and bring about an economic and social transformation of the continent in the digital age.

One thousand (1000) exceptional young people will be selected to follow an intensive 3-month training cycle at the end of which they will have the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to replicate it within their local communities. To facilitate their access to employment, ambassadors will be put in direct contact with employers and private sector partners and will benefit from access to a platform dedicated to self-employment.

Criteria and Instructions

  1. The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
  2. Applications must be submitted online.
  3. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. GMT no later than December 31, 2021.
  4. The candidate must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  5. The candidate must reside in one of the following countries: Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria or Senegal (For its pilot phase, the program targets these 4 countries. The list will soon be extended to other countries.).

To be eligible for the program, applicants must agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Personal identification data (for example, last name, first name, gender) as well as the information provided in the “General Information” section may be used to define the candidate’s public profile. The full name and any personally identifiable information will not be used.
  2. Ambassadors will be invited to participate in the production of a publication highlighting their profile and their work.
  3. Ambassadors commit to fully participate in program activities and agree to replicate the training in their communities.
