The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a full professorship (100%) in environmental anthropology, with a specialization in agri-environmental issues in Switzerland. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in at least two of the following fields: agri-food systems, agri- environmental transition, agroforestery or rural socio-anthropology. In addition to teaching and research, the successful candidate will be responsible for co-managing a center of excellence and competence in sustainable development in the Swiss Jura Arc.

Requirements: Doctorate in anthropology (or equivalent) and a publication record related to the profile of the position. As a signatory of the DORA Declaration, the University of Neuchâtel attaches importance to a qualitative assessment of candidates’ academic activities. Fluency in French and English are required, fluency in German is a plus.

Starting date: August 1st, 2022, or upon agreement.
