Have you been considering a doctoral degree?
Åbo Akademi University offers a total of 21 funded doctoral positions, starting on 1 September 2023, at the earliest.
Deadline for application submission is on 30 March 2023 3.00 p.m. (Finnish time). Submit your application through the university webpages.
The 21 positions are at placed within the four faculties of the university, more information below:
- The Faculty of Arts, Psychology and Theology (5 positions)
- The Faculty Education and Welfare Studies (4 positions)
- The Faculty of Science and Engineering (8 positions)
- The Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Economics, and Law (4 positions)
The employment as doctoral student is for maximum 4 years (48 months). Possible previously received funding for doctoral studies will be considered when determining the final length of the employment.
The announcement is open for those who have a Master’s Degree. Applicants must receive their Master’s degree (or equivalent) by June 30th 2023, at the latest.
An applicant should also have a supervisor or a potential supervisor from the university. Please note that there is a separate application process for the admission to a doctoral programme at ÅAU. Applicants can apply for admission to a doctoral programme at ÅAU after receiving the decision on employment.
