There is an urgent need to respond to the growing global humanitarian needs with creative, significant, and scalable solutions powered by digital and mobile technology. The GSMA Innovation Fund for Humanitarian Challenges was inaugurated by the organization on December 11th.
The Fund will offer additional non-financial and technical support to initiatives that use digital and mobile technologies to test and expand solutions to humanitarian problems in low- and middle-income nations.
This edition of the fund seeks to test innovative use cases, partnerships, and business models that can improve access to sustainable digital-enabled solutions for those who are affected by or vulnerable to humanitarian challenges.
Benefits
Grants ranging from £100,000 to £250,000 will be given to projects. That demonstrates success in scaling their innovations over a 15–18 month timeframe.
Eligibility Criteria for the GSMA Innovation Fund
The program is available to For-profit small and growing businesses (commercially viable start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses, and social enterprises with up to 250 employees)
