A call for tenders is open to young French or foreign researchers under 35, carrying out their theses, diplomas or post-doctorates. It concerns all areas of Human and Social Sciences.
The MSH-P wants to give young researchers the opportunity to stay in French Polynesia to carry out a case study, conduct a preliminary investigation with a view to further study, etc.
4 scholarships are awarded, each for a maximum amount of € 5,000, to cover the return transport costs for French Polynesia and the stay. The sum will be managed by the MSH-P.
A letter of recommendation from the thesis or post-doc director is welcome. Successful candidates must complete their projects within 6 months of the grant award notification. They must submit a preliminary report no later than 1 month after the end of their fieldwork, and a final report no later than 1 year later, accompanied by a draft publication in a good international journal. Reports and publications will mention the name of the scholarship “MSH-P”. When the selection of candidates has been made, their names and subjects will be the subject of a press release. The MSH-P may also organize any media event in the context of these scholarships.
