Discreetly in the Middle East
The World Health Organization said on Wednesday that countries in the Middle East should provide more information on cases of HIV infection to help support the fight against the disease in the region.

Director of the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office, Ahmed Al-Manzari, said there is a “variation” between countries in the region in how to fight the Corona virus and “more needs to be done” .

Al-Manzari added during a video press conference that improving access to information would allow the organization to better monitor the spread of the virus and quickly implement public health measures.

“It is regrettable that even today, while the current situation has become critical, the organizing countries do not provide enough information on these cases,” he said.

With the exception of Iran, the number of confirmed cases is still relatively small compared to East Asia and Europe, but officials fear that the actual numbers are much higher than the advertiser for reasons, including the lack of controls.
