Position Summary:
The Department of Theatre at Susquehanna seeks an Assistant Professor of Theatre in Lighting and Scenic Design. The successful candidate will teach three courses each semester that may include scenic and lighting design courses, Scenic Production (practical application class), Introduction to Theatre, and Script Analysis. Co-curricular responsibilities include creation of lighting and scenic designs for the department’s five-show main stage season or supervision of student lighting and scenic designers, supervising student execution and implementation of scenic painting and lighting plots, and basic maintenance of lighting systems. The successful candidate will be competent in computer-aided drafting and design software, scenic painting, and stage electrician skills.

Required Qualifications:
The MFA in Theatre with a concentration in scenic and/or lighting design is required

Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of undergraduate teaching is preferred.
