The University welcomes applications for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship from international students who are new to studying at the University of Waikato, and who will be coming to study here for face-to-face study.
Students who study online with the University are not eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship.

Eligibility
This Scholarship is intended to support talented international students who are enrolling for the first time into undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at the University of Waikato. The Scholarships have a value of up to NZD$15,000, and will be awarded to successful applicants who demonstrate excellent academic achievement.

You will need to do this BEFORE you can have access to apply for Scholarships and Awards.

Apply using MyWaikato
Once you have an account, log into MyWaikato and click on the ‘Scholarships’ tab to see the list of available scholarships
Note: If you are a current student or already have a University of Waikato account you will be redirected to the MyWaikato screen. Log in to MyWaikato, select the ‘Scholarships’ tab and choose the scholarship you wish to apply for from the list at the bottom of the page.
