The Department of Chemistry at Dalhousie University invites applications for a career-stream Instructor at 100% FTE. The position is to start as soon as possible, but no later than December 1.

Duties: The primary responsibilities of this position are the preparation and delivery of the laboratory component of second- and third-year analytical chemistry courses. Some lecture-based instruction and course preparation will also be required.

The position requires an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in either Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Geology, or a related subject. Expertise in the operation of analytical instrumentation (separations, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, etc.) is essential. Prior university teaching experience is strongly preferred. A record of excellence in teaching will be a strong asset.
