But is ySense legit and really a simple and effective way to make extra money online, or is it a scam you should avoid?
I myself am a long-time member of the platform and have tested it thoroughly, and still use it daily.
So let me reveal to you right away that ySense is legit and it pays you – I have been paid several times myself and will show proof of payment later.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean it will be the right option for you.
This ySense 2024 review will give you all the details you need to know to decide whether it’s worth it for you or not.
My review is a bit long because the platform offers a lot, and I want to cover as much as possible to give you all the information you need to make the decision whether to join or not. But if you’re the impatient type, you can just scroll down to the conclusion 🙂
What is ySense and what opportunities does the site offer?
So let’s start with the name: the platform was formerly called ClixSense.
ClixSense was launched in 2007. Initially, it was launched as a PTC (paid to click) site and was primarily considered a PTC site for many years. Personally, I wasn’t a big fan of the PTC side of ClixSense, and so I was mainly focused on the site’s other opportunities.
In mid-2017, ClixSense made some big changes. This meant getting rid of the PTC side, as this type of company has a bad reputation, and so ClixSense decided to move forward without this aspect.
Personally, this is a choice I was very happy with, because it wasn’t a great opportunity anyway, and I think it shows a lot how serious ClixSense was in developing the platform and pursuing of its evolution.
Then, in August 2019, they made other big changes: they rebranded themselves with a new name and moved to a new domain (ysense.com). So, the platform is now called ySense .
Most of the options are the same, but there have been some great updates and ySense has continually rolled out new improvements since taking on the new name.
Let me reveal to you right away that if you are wondering whether ySense is real or fake, you don’t need to worry about it. This is indeed a legitimate and real way to make money, and it is safe – I have been paid several times through this myself (you can see the payment proof in the video later in this review).
But that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily the right option for you. So let’s see what opportunities ySense now offers so you can know whether you should sign up or not.
Option 1 – ySense Surveys :
The best way to earn on ySense is to take paid surveys.
It usually offers plenty of daily opportunities to take paid surveys because it has partnered with many different survey providers.
Please be aware that you will not be eligible for all available surveys . I mention this because I know how frustrating it can be to click through the available surveys and not qualify.
Depending on where you are from, your age, etc., the number of surveys you can participate in will differ. This goes for all survey sites, so it’s not just on ySense that you won’t qualify for all surveys.
So if you click on surveys and they are not available, be patient and keep clicking – it takes a little time to check if they are available and in most cases there will be plenty available , and generally, they are pretty. well paid for time spent compared to other survey sites.
After a while, you will also find out what type of surveys you usually qualify for, and then you can just ignore the others so as not to waste your time – that’s what I do.
As you can see from the image above, the rewards you get vary a lot from survey to survey and can also vary from country to country. But overall, the surveys you can find on ySense pay quite well compared to many other survey sites.
Also note that in addition to the surveys you can see, there is also a section just below the surveys where you can see the survey routers that ySense cooperates with.
There are several sections here, and this can be a great way to find additional opportunities .
ySense has improved this since its launch and has continually added new survey partners, so you can now find plenty of paid surveys here, so you should definitely make sure to check that out.
And one more thing that ySense added is the ability to take a daily survey . This is a short question that will only take you a second to answer, and it will earn you $0.01.
This is definitely something you should make sure you do every day: You find the daily survey by scrolling to the bottom of the ySense survey page.
Option 2 – Paid offers:
ySense has a whole section with paid offers. Thanks to this, you will have access to a large number of different offers offered by ySense partners.
Most of the offer walls on ySense are the same as when it was ClixSense, but some have also been removed that weren’t very good, and new ones have been introduced. They also mention on the website that they will continually introduce new offers.
Offers may, for example, include trying new products or services, downloading apps, playing games, registering for websites, watching videos, entering free competitions, etc. Compared to similar sites, ySense gives you access to many offer walls as well as some of the best offer walls out there.
Before accepting an offer, you can see what the conditions are and how much the reward will be. Offers can be a great way to increase your revenue. Some of them offer small rewards, but there are also some that give very high rewards , so it is worth checking the different offers regularly.
Just be sure to read all the terms and conditions of any offers you’re interested in before accepting them so you know exactly what you need to do to get your reward. Some offers have excellent conditions and are very easy to accept, and others, in my opinion, are not worth accepting. So make sure you know the conditions.
Option 3 – Invite friends to join us:
You can also earn money by inviting others to ySense.
To start, ySense will pay you a 20% commission on the earnings of the people you refer. If you have more than 100 active referrals in the last 30 days, you will receive 25%, and if you have more than 200, you will receive 30% commission.
The commission will NOT affect what the person you refer earns , as the bonus will be paid by ySense as a thank you for inviting someone else.
Option 4 – ySense Watch (watch videos)
One of the newest additions to earning opportunities is ySense Watch. This is a section where you can earn just by watching videos.
Just choose your favorite topic/video channel, and there are relevant topics almost whatever your preferences.
You will then be redirected to content in that category and will have to stay and watch a video for a while. There will be a timer that tells you when you can move on to the next video.
You have to watch multiple videos to get your reward, and you can track how much you have left before you get paid at any time. Usually this will be 7-10 videos.
Usually, this will earn you between $0.02 and $0.03. So these aren’t huge winnings, but they’re still pretty good compared to many other sites that offer videos as an earning option. And the good thing about this option is that you can always find a way to win even if you can’t win much – but at least it’s entertaining at the same time.
Just be aware that currently this option is only available in the United States . ySense is working to make this option available in more countries as soon as possible, but if you can’t find ySense Watch when you log in, it’s simply because it’s not available in your country yet.
However, if you want to earn money watching videos in other countries , you can find an option to do so in the offer wall section.
The offer wall called Adscend will give you the opportunity to earn money by watching videos. You just need to know that you won’t win much doing this, but it can be a fun way to earn.
Option 5 – Activity bonus:
ySense offers a great extra earning opportunity that sets it apart from many other survey sites.
If you perform a certain activity every day, you will get an extra bonus called Daily Checklist Bonus . I’ll go into detail about this below, as it’s an important topic that requires its own section.
Registration and participation in all offers offered by ySense are free.
Option 6 – Get paid to play:
Getting paid to play games on your mobile phone is one of the newest earning opportunities on ySense.
However, it is only available through the ySense app (more on the app later).
But if you like playing games on your phone, this can be a great way to earn at the same time.
Once logged into the app, simply go to the “discover” section and choose “play time rewards”.
Here you can find different games that you can download, and then you will get paid for every minute of playing. Before downloading an app, ySense clearly states how much you will get per minute and how much you can earn overall with each game.
Overall, the game time rewards option on ySense is actually one of the best I’ve seen out of all the apps I’ve tested that offer game time rewards like this- this. So if you like playing games, this is definitely an option worth checking out.
What is the Daily Checklist Bonus?
As mentioned above, ySense offers what is called a Daily Checklist Bonus which can be a great way to earn some extra money.
When you first sign up, it may seem a little confusing, but it’s actually quite simple. But to make it easier for you, and so you will know from the start, I will now explain how it works and how much it can earn you.
In short, this is a bonus where you can earn up to 16% of your winnings, and it will be added to your account at the end of each day if you qualify for the bonus that day.
It’s not that difficult to qualify. On your personal account page you can see at any time how close you are to getting the bonus that day (see photo above).
To get the bonus, you must either respond to 2 surveys or 2 offers.
However, as not everyone has the same opportunities to complete surveys or offers, you can combine them to benefit from the checklist bonus.
You can therefore also benefit from the bonus by responding to 1 survey + 1 offer.
If you complete any of the options above, you will earn the daily checklist bonus and get 12% in your account at the end of the day.
You also have the option of adding something extra to this bonus. You can earn an additional 2% by installing the ySense add-on, which is an extension for your browser.
Previously this was only available for Chrome when it came to ClixSense, but now it’s available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, which is a great extension, in my opinion.
This is an add-on that will send you notifications when there are new surveys, new tasks, etc. You need to actively run it for 1 hour on a day you are also eligible for the checklist bonus, then you will get 2.% extra.
The browser extension not only helps you get the bonus. It’s also a great way to stay informed about new opportunities posted on ySense without having to log in often.
Finally, you can earn 2% by obtaining an activity bonus by completing the bonus checklist 3 days in a row. Please note that if you fail to qualify for the checklist one day, the activity bonus will be reset (see the image below for an overview).
So, by having some activity on ySense, you have the opportunity to get an additional 16% on your account. Each day that you meet the conditions to benefit from the bonus, it will be transferred to your account at the end of the same day.
This is a very interesting additional bonus and not often offered by many survey sites.
How are you paid?
Every time you take a survey, accept an offer, play games, or do anything else on ySense, you’ll earn dollars.
One of the biggest changes after ySense was renamed to ClixSense is payment methods. Previously, you could receive your money via Payoneer, Skrill, Dwolla, Tangocard or by check.
One of the big changes when it launched as ySense was that it started offering payments through PayPal. This is the preferred payment method for many people on survey and payment sites, so they made it possible.
And the payment threshold for PayPal is quite low, as you only need $10 to withdraw through PayPal. And it will still take too long to achieve this on ySense.
ySense, however, has also introduced payment methods with a lower threshold than ClixSense. You can now get Amazon gift cards as soon as you earn $5 (for Amazon DE, the amount is even lower, at €1). And one of the most recent gift card rewards introduced is Steam Gift Cards. Steam cards, however, are mainly available in European countries, while other rewards are available in all countries.
On top of that, you can also withdraw your winnings through Payoneer and Skrill, which are also great ways to get your winnings in cash. And in some countries, other gift cards will also be available. So there are some really good reward options , in my opinion.
Once you have completed a survey, you will usually be able to see the reward in your ySense account immediately. Some surveys (those that give a very high reward) need to be approved before you put the money into your account. These surveys are marked with a small red flag, so they are easy to recognize.
When you use some of the other opportunities on ySense, like getting paid to download an app, you’ll also earn dollars, so it’ll be easy to see exactly what you’re getting for each offer.
When it was called ClixSense, you earned Clixcents for deals. So this is another example where ySense is now more user-friendly.
Often it takes 5-15 minutes before you can see these rewards in your account.
Once you request a payment from your ySense account, it usually takes 3-5 days for the money to arrive in your chosen account.
Can you use ySense on mobile?
Yes, you can easily use ySense on your mobile phone or tablet.
In fact, as mentioned before, it has its own app and you can download the ySense app from the App Store or through Google Play.
This makes it much easier to quickly access surveys, which can be important because some of them fill up quickly. And it will also give you access to the game time reward option, which you cannot find on the site itself.
Overall, it’s just really convenient when a survey or Get-Paid-To site has an app, as it’s a great way to earn a little extra while you’re on the go. For example, while queuing, waiting for the bus, sitting on the train, etc.
It’s so great to see ySense spending time developing one that works well and is user-friendly.
If you don’t want to download the app, you can still use ySense itself through your mobile’s browser, as the website is mobile-friendly.
How much money can you make?
The time you need to spend to earn money and how much you can earn on ySense depends on how many opportunities you want to use, as there are many of them.
In general, the rewards from surveys are pretty good relative to the time spent, so they are definitely worth taking part in. But there are also many other opportunities.
Some offers offer very high rewards, and tasks can also earn extra money, especially if you end up being a top earner and receive part of the weekly prize money.
By being a little active, you can also quite easily benefit from the daily checklist bonus and earn up to 16% more, which is a very good bonus.
ySense is therefore one of the survey sites that has good earning potential .
As with all other survey sites, however, it is important to remember that this will not earn you a full-time income. If you expect this, you will probably be disappointed and will not actively participate in ySense, and therefore you will not be successful either.
In which countries is ySense available?
One of the best things about ySense is that it is available more or less worldwide, just like ClixSense. However, the opportunities on ySense vary depending on the country you live in.
But if you don’t have many surveys or offers, you might have easy access to tasks, so there are good chances for many countries, and this is one of the survey sites that offer pretty good opportunities to the widest range of countries of all. the sites I tested.
Please be aware that you cannot complete surveys in a country other than the one you registered in, so you cannot use ySense to complete surveys while traveling.
You must be 16 years old to register for ySense.

Bonus Tip 1 – Don’t give up if some surveys are not available to you:
Depending on your age, location, etc., you may not be able to complete certain surveys after clicking on an available survey. This can be frustrating and sometimes you have to click through multiple surveys before you find one you can take.
But there are plenty of surveys available, so don’t give up when you come across one (or more) surveys that you can’t participate in. Over time, you will also learn what types of surveys you usually qualify for, then simply click on them and ignore the others.
Bonus Tip 2 – Visit the site often:
New surveys and tasks will appear and disappear throughout the day, so visit the site several times throughout the day if you have time.
You can also install the ySense add-on for your browser. It’s a great way to stay up to date with new opportunities without having to log in often.
Bonus Tip 3 – Less Activity on the Weekend:
Please note that on weekends, there is often less activity on ySense. My experience tells me that there are usually very few surveys on weekends, so don’t be discouraged if you sign up on a weekend and don’t find many opportunities.
There are opportunities on weekends, but not as many.
Additionally, typically during major holidays, fewer surveys will be available.
Can you get help?
The quality of support for a site or service offering always speaks volumes.
I have been in contact with ySense support several times, and have always gotten a fairly quick and helpful response.
When you message their support, you’ll see that they say it may take up to 10 business days to get a response. It’s pretty slow, but luckily it probably won’t always take that long. When I have been in contact with them, I have generally received a response more quickly, but in some cases it may require a little patience, which I hope they will also improve as they continue to improve the platform.
Also, whenever there are updates, changes, special offers or something like that, you will see a message about it when you log in.
ySense also has a forum where you can get answers to many questions from other members and ySense staff. There are even forums in many different languages so you can communicate with staff and other members in many languages other than English.
So ySense has good support and manages to keep members informed, which I really appreciate, and some survey sites could definitely learn from this.
Verdict final
I’ve tested many online paid survey sites and Get-Paid-To sites, and ySense is definitely not a scam or fake – in fact, it offers genuine opportunities to earn extra money legitimately.
I know from personal experience that this is legit as I have been paid several times myself.
