Academic Positions in Peace Operations Studies – Al Khor, Qatar

Position Summary:

The Academy is seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for (3) academic positions in peace operations studies at the level of Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor, beginning in September 2025. The candidate will be required to teach courses at the graduate levels, conduct research, and contribute to the academic services. The language of teaching is English.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Teach courses related to peace operations studies.
• Supervise research projects and theses.
• Contribute to the research profile of the Academy through research grants and publications.
• Contribute to various committees.
• Engage in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and advancement of knowledge in the field.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Academy.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in international relations or related field with a focus/experience in peace operations.
• Applicant should demonstrate an active role in both collaborating on and leading independent research, including grant writing and submission.
• Good peer reviewed publication record.
• Experience in teaching and supervising post graduate degrees.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
