Future Scientist Exchange Program (FuSEP) is a pack of incoming programs initiated by USTC to bring excellent young scientists worldwide together to exchange ideas for solutions to present world challenges through science and technology. Research Projects and Activities
Take part in the USTC FuSEP Summer Research Program. Over a period of 4-8 weeks, students will work on scientific research projects in experimental teams supervised by USTC professors. A short report on their work and project at USTC will be expected at the end of their stay. Click HERE to find out a research group you may be interested.

During this unique and exciting time, you can attend a series of lectures specially prepared for you where experts and scientists share their knowledge about a wide range of topics in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Earth and Space Sciences. Visits to the national laboratories and large scientific research facilities, as well as workshops and cultural events, are also key features of the program. Program Duration
For undergraduates, July 1st to August 25th, flexible duration (4-8 weeks), minimum 4-week commitment
For graduates, July 1st to July 30th, 1 month
Qualifications
- Remain full-time registered as a student at your home university during your stay at USTC
- Undergraduates or graduates major in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant majors.
- Should have completed at least two years of full-time undergraduate studies in the relevant major by the Summer of 2024.
- Academic Excellence with a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of ‘B’ or above
- A good knowledge of English

- International students who apply for degree programs in the future will be given priority for winning a sponsorship if they have obtained the certificate of the program
