POSITION’S DESCRIPTION:
• Conducting research within the framework of a grant by Daniel Płatek, Ph. D. • Searching for and coding of notes on protest events in Polish newspapers – procedure Protest Event Analysis • Publishing research results in form of articles in scientific journals.

• Possession of a publication record or preparing a doctoral thesis in the discipline of Sociology • Proficiency in English at a level that makes it possible to conduct scientific research and publish its results in the international circulation; • At least basic proficiency in conducting statistical analysis via SPSS and/or R programs.

Specific Requirements

Scientific interest in line with this announcement (supported by publications). Familiarity with the literature regarding sociological theory of social movements.

Eligibility criteria

• status of a PhD student at the Polish university or Polish Academy of Sciences’ research institute in the fields of sociology • submitting the application via e-mail to: politic@isppan.waw.pl (e-mail’s title: “Recruitment: Scholarship SONATA 47”) the complete set of documents.
Documents required: • Application for a scholarship; • Curriculum Vitae with detailed list of publications, past research projects, fellowships, scientific papers, conference presentations, language certificates ect.; • Certificate confirming candidate’s doctoral student status at the Polish university or Polish Academy of Sciences’ research institute; • GDPR Acceptance Form (attached to this file).

DESCRIPTION OF WORKING CONDITIONS:
• The position is planned for 2 years • Work will be done remotely and throughout a monthly meetings dedicated to the conclusion of the materials gathered in the period.
