We are looking to recruit a Transitional Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Cyber Security within the School of Computer Science to complement our strengths and support our growing Cyber Security research group (CybSec)

As a Transitional Assistant Professor you will be a promising early career researcher in cyber security, with potential to develop activity and reputation in the discipline.

As an Assistant Professor, you will have a growing national reputation and have the potential to make a significant impact on research and teaching.

As an Associate Professor, you will have a substantial and growing national and international reputation and will make a significant impact on research and teaching.

You will undertake research, individually and collaboratively, that complements the existing interests and activities within the CybSec group. You will take an active role in supervising doctoral researchers, and will take responsibility for developing and leading new research and other initiatives linked to your area of cyber security.

You will have the ability to deliver a high standard of teaching through a variety of methods to support the school’s teaching requirements, within your area of expertise in cyber security. You will also be responsible for the development of content and structure of existing and new modules as part of the overall curriculum, with the potential to contribute toward delivery at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

As an Assistant or Associate Professor, you will seek and secure funding through the development of your own research proposals and be active in research and knowledge exchange projects both internally and externally.

In addition to the above, as an Associate Professor you would act as the principal investigator on major research projects, interpret and review research project outcomes and contribute to curriculum leadership.
