Position Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary has an opening for a Sessional Instructor position in the software engineering program.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach the undergraduate level course ENSF 594 ‘Principles of Software Development II’. ENSF 594 is listed in the University of Calgary Calendar for the Summer 2020 session. The successful candidate is required to be available during that entire period. The successful candidate will be expected to have earned at least a Masters in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering and must have a demonstrated background in the subject matter related to this course. In particular, the candidate should have experience teaching fundamental programming and data analysis concepts using a high-level language such as Python. The successful candidate must also have very good previous teaching performance or show the potential for very good to excellent teaching ability. It is desirable for candidates to be registered as a Professional Engineer in a Canadian Province.
ENSF 594 course description
A fundamental study of software design and development topics for Engineering students. Topics include: parallel programming; event-driven programming; database programming; socket programming, and the development of client-server architectures; software engineering best practices.

Lecture: L01: Monday, Wednesday 8:30am ~ 11:15am
Lab: B01: Monday, Wednesday 12:00pm~ 1:45pm
