We have an opening for the position of full time

LECTURER in Construction/Structural Design

at our Kotka and Savonlinna campuses starting on 1st January, 2021 and continuing until further notice.

Key responsibilities include teaching structural design, especially in wood constructions and modelling in the Construction Engineering Degree Programmes (located in Kotka and Savonlinna).

Required skills and qualifications are as follows: Practical and theoretical knowledge and skills in structural design, including wooden structures. Modelling of house building. Desirable skills: E-learning ability, Finnish language. Experience in teaching, focusing on construction engineering.

Senior Lecturer / Lecturer: Pursuant to the Government decree on universities of applied sciences, the candidate must possess a master’s degree and have a minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in the subject field. In addition, we also require that the candidate has either completed a teaching qualification, or will complete it within 3 years of taking up the post.

Pay and other employment contract terms are determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the Private Education Sector issued by the Finnish Education Employers. Final appointment to the position is subject to the successful completion of a probationary period.
