Simone Rey-Boucault goes on trips with complete strangers: they serve her as drivers and in return she offers them the plane ticket and the car rental.

It is a  granny  who could have inspired the character of “Super-Granny” of the singer Aldebert. Simone Rey-Boucault, 77, is quite a number. Originally from  Teillay  in  Ille-et-Vilaine , she worked as a  nurse in Rennes  but is now enjoying a peaceful retirement with her husband in  Roquefort-les-Pins , in the  Alpes Maritimes . At least when she is not traveling!

A traveling grandma is not original. Only here, the  Breton girl  has her own way of doing it. As evidenced by this announcement posted in December 2019 on the  Facebook page of the private group “We are backpackers” , dedicated to women who wish to discuss travel and possibly find people to go with.

She recruits her travel partners on Facebook

Simone Rey-Boucault is thus recruiting a travel partner to play the drivers in  Florida  for five weeks in February 2020, while paying him plane tickets, car rental, fuel costs, etc … ” happy (e) elected hotel costs (free to the person to choose his type of accommodation), food and additional costs related to any visits on site.

And what about her husband?

A few years ago, I told her that I wanted to travel. I was waiting for him to decide but he was still postponing! So I decided to go alone. He prefers to stay at home. He watered the plants in the garden when I was not there!
