Reference No. CE 2021/14

The Department Electrochemical Energy Storage is looking for

Postdoc (f/m/d) in Chemistry (Inorganic chemistry or Material Chemistry)

Tasks

  • Design and synthesis of flexible electrodes formed by carbon-based nanomaterials with hierarchical microstructures
  • Direct dispersion and processing of carbon nanomaterials with high conductivity and high purity (e.g. carbon nanotubes)
  • Design and synthesis of flexible or stretchable conductive electrodes, functionalization of the flexible electrodes with metal oxide or metal sulfide nanoparticles
  • Study and analysis of the electrochemical/mechanical properties of the flexible electrode and its application in Li-S batteries
  • Reporting and discussion, publication in peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

    • Successfully completed scientific university studies in chemistry with PhD
    • Expertise in direct dispersion, large-scale processing and engineering of carbon nanomaterials, especially carbon nanotubes without surfactant and surface treatment.
    • Research experience in synthesis and assembling of carbon-based nanomaterials into flexible 3D porous materials with controllable microstructures.
    • Expertise in synthesis/fabrication of conductive and flexible materials.
    • Research experience in material analysis techniques, such as Raman, TEMXRD, conductivity, and mechanical tests etc.
    • Good knowledge on electrochemical analysis as well as mechanical properties of flexible electrode materials. Outstanding schematic drawing skills, such as Ai, PS or 3dMax
