Research positions in University of Minnesota

1-2 positions are immediately available in Dr. Hongbo Pang lab, Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Minnesota (Minneapolis). Pang lab harnesses interdisciplinary technologies to discover peptide-based targeting tools and novel biomarkers for human diseases, develop novel diagnosis and therapies, and explore novel cellular and physiological processes. Funded by federal and state grants, our ongoing projects include developing peptide-targeted delivery systems for nucleotide-based drugs, deciphering the cargo transport machineries in complex tissues, identifying and characterizing novel biomarkers for immune cells in given organs, and screening novel peptides and biomarkers for various human diseases. Here we are looking for one or two highly motivated and self-driven individuals with related experience to join in our endeavors. The successful candidate will be also exposed to diverse research activities in our group, spanning from phage display, cell biology, endocytosis/transcytosis, peptide-guided drug delivery, nanotechnology, cancer biology and immunotherapy. These positions are ranging from postdoc to various researcher levels, based on applicants’ qualifications and experience.

We are interested in applicants holding an advance degree (MS or PhD) in a broad range of scientific fields, such as molecular and cell biology, cell-based assays, immune-based assay, nanotechnology, drug delivery, cancer and inflammatory diseases, and so on. The candidate should also have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and writing skills.
