Assistant Professor, Protein Design and Engineering, Dept of Biochemistry, Albert Einstein College of Medicine

The Department of Biochemistry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Albert Einstein Cancer Center invite applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the broadly defined area of protein design and engineering. We seek creative applicants with demonstrated excellence in research at the interface of Protein Chemistry, Structure-Function Analysis, Combinatorial Selection Technologies and/or Computational Design, who apply their expertise to important problems in basic and translational sciences, including the development of novel catalysts and biologics with enhanced functionality, stability and biochemical and physical properties. We offer an exciting and collaborative academic work environment that includes diverse faculty with research interests spanning chemical biology, mechanistic enzymology, cancer biology, structural biology, pharmacology, cell biology, biochemistry, along with strong ties to clinical departments at Montefiore Medical Center.

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D., Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Materials Science, Computational Macromolecular Design, or related academic disciplines.
