Salary: £53348 to £63668 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
The salary offered to the successful candidate will attract a consolidated AVA and a non consolidated clinical supplement, dependent on the amount of clinical work undertaken.

The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is an established and forward thinking school at the University of Nottingham. We have recently adopted an innovative dual intake system whereby cohorts of 150 undergraduates begin in September and April each year. We have consistently ranked #1 in the National Student Survey since our first graduating cohort in 2011, and in the most recent REF we ranked 2nd in the UK for research power. We are also the only veterinary school to hold an ASPIRE award, recognising our excellence in student engagement.

We are now seeking a Clinical Associate Professor to join our equine team and help to continue to deliver at the same high standard we have become well known for. You will be a key part of our exciting journey, as we continue to push the boundaries and develop a world leading Veterinary School.

The post will involve delivering clinical services, undergraduate teaching and assessment and supervision of postgraduate clinical and research programmes. The successful candidate will work at our Sutton Bonington Campus and our Clinical Associate practices, including contributing to delivery of clinical services. The staff member will play a key role in design and delivery of an innovative equine curriculum as part of an internationally recognised team of clinical teachers, supporting both undergraduate teaching and learning, and postgraduate internship and residency programmes. MRCVS qualification, ECEIM or ACVIM Diplomate status, and previous experience of supervising residency programmes / clinical research are required for this post.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
