Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

In response to its continuous growth, IÉSEG School of Management invites applications for a full-time permanent position (starting September 2022) in Operations Management at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level for the Lille or Paris Campus. The selected candidate will be part of the Department of Operations Management.

ABOUT THE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

The Operations Management department consists of 10 full-time academic staff and 4 Post-docs and PhD students. Our staff teach and conduct research in the areas of Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Green Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Healthcare Management, Project Management, Product Development and Revenue Management. Our diverse body of permanent professors have recently published articles in in top-tier refereed international journals such as (amongst others): European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.

ABOUT THE POSITION

From applicants, we expect evidence of excellence in teaching. The appointed applicant is expected to contribute in developing / applying innovative approaches to learning, teaching and assessment, to contribute to the development of teaching and learning strategies; and to  have a high quality, creative and adaptable teaching performance. Our selected applicant will potentially teach courses at the undergraduate, graduate and/or postgraduate level and contribute to the design and development of the Department’s programs.

We expect candidates to complement their teaching with research (securing publications in academic or practice-oriented journals, books or case studies). The weight of teaching for this position is more important  and implies a higher teaching load compared to our currently open permanent position in Operations Management (see here).

We seek for candidates whose teaching and research interests lie in operations and supply chain management,  sustainable and/or digital supply chains.

PhD relevant to the discipline is required.

Applicants should be completely fluent in English as nearly all courses at IESEG are taught in this language. Prior knowledge of French is not required as the School provides French courses to faculty members.

Applicants should share the values of the school and be team players.

Professional experience is a plus.
