Kokkola University Consortium is currently seeking to recruit staff to the position of
Professorship in Education, to be filled as of 1 November 2020 or as agreed, in effect until further notice
The Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius is a multidisciplinary institute shared by the universities of Jyväskylä, Oulu and Vaasa. The University of Jyväskylä is responsible for the coordination of the Consortium’s activities. The Consortium provides research-based, high-quality academic adult education and internationally networked research activities that contribute to regional development. The focus areas of research and education are the renewal of industries and businesses; participation, communality and wellbeing; and learning and teaching on the move.
The professorship is located in the learning and teaching on the move focus area. In this area, we explore the phenomena of learning and teaching in the changing world as well as develop solutions for academic adult education and the multimodal utilisation of IT in teaching, including modern learning environments and platforms. The professorship will link the Consortium’s research activities more closely to the University of Jyväskylä’s core field of learning, teaching and interaction.
The professorship focuses on the area of ‘learning and teacher education on the move’.

The salary of a successful candidate will be based on level 8 of the job requirement scheme for teaching and research staff in the salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal performance is paid.The total starting salary varies between €5,057 and €7,157 per month, depending on your qualifications and experience.
