Gen. Anders Programme (Poland Government Scholarships for Undergraduate and Master’s Students)

Through the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, foreigners of Polish origin are granted scholarships to study in Poland in their undergraduate or Master’s studies. This Poland Government scholarship aims to enhance their knowledge of the Polish language and to promote Poland as a country of scientific breaks and quality education.

Under this Poland Government Scholarship Program, an applicant can choose one of these 3 Polascholarships: Director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), Minister of Culture and National Heritage and Sports, or scholarship by the Minister of Health.

Scholarship subsidy for the Gen. Anders Programme

This Poland Government scholarship covers monthly allowance during the education period and free tuition fees for the preparatory course. Free tuition at public universities, art universities, and universities supervised by the Ministry of Health will be provided by NAWA, Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sports, and Minister of Health respectively.

The monthly allowance for the preparatory course amounts to PLN 1,450. For the first 3 years of education, the monthly allowance is PLN 1,250 and PLN 1,500 per month for students on their fourth, fifth, and sixth year in the university.

Eligible Applicants for the Gen. Anders Programme

Applicants can be classified into persons with or without Polish citizenship. For those who do not have Polish citizenship, the criteria would include possession of documents confirming Polish origin, have not obtained a first-degree diploma, have not received scholarships for foreigners with Polish origin. Applicants with Polish citizenship have different eligibility criteria.

For those planning to apply for first-cycle (university) studies, enrollment in the last year of their secondary studies is an additional criterion.

Master’s degree applicants are required to be currently studying or have a diploma for first-cycle studies. They must not also be a graduate of a master’s degree before admission.

Application for the Gen. Anders Programme

Application form submitted to NAWA’s ICT system must be accompanied by a scan of passport page, Pole’s card, and birth certificate among others. The complete list of necessary documents is listed here. The full information on the scholarships of the different ministries is linked below.

Deadline of Application
