10 ASRIC and UEMF doctoral scholarships to African students at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF), in Morocco

ASRIC and UEMF offer 10 scholarship places for the 2020-2021 academic year to African doctoral students to carry out their doctoral research at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF), Morocco. The duration of the study and that of the scholarship is  three years.

The scholarship includes; tuition fees of approximately $ 9,000, accommodation, a round trip ticket from your country of origin each year with a maximum contribution of $ 1,000 during the summer holidays and an allowance of $ 1,000 per months for 11 months each year.

Field of study

The candidate MUST be prepared to undertake research in the following areas:

  •   a. Numerical engineering and artificial intelligence;
  •   b. Embedded systems;
  •   vs. Additive manufacturing;
  •   re. Materials;
  •   e. Renewable energy and energy efficiency;
  •   F. Energy Storage; Batteries and smart grids; or
  •   g. Management, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Eligibility requirements

  •   • Must be a national of one of the member states of the African Union;
  •   • Applicants must be under 35 years of age at the end of this call;
  •   • Must hold a master’s degree (in science or engineering), a diploma or an engineering diploma or any other equivalent diploma (baccalaureate + 5); and
  •   • The candidate must demonstrate remarkable ability and dedication as well as experience in conducting research in the selected field of study.

  •   a. An updated CV;
  •   b. A certified copy of the baccalaureate;
  •   vs. A certified true copy of the master’s degree or the engineering diploma or any other equivalent diploma (Bac + 5);
  •   re. A copy of the certified transcripts of all university level courses completed corresponding to the diploma or master’s degree;
  •   e. A copy of the thesis or Master’s thesis (or equivalent);
  •   F. A certified true copy of the international passport.
  •   g. 2 passport-size passport photos

Application deadline

The call will end on July 15, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (GMT + 0) local time in Rabat. Any application received after the deadline will be rejected.
