  • Hold a completed Bachelor’s degree relevant to one of the listed Master’s degree programs.
  • Completed their Bachelor’s degree in one of the specified countries/regions: Albania; Algeria; Argentina; Belarus; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bulgaria; Croatia; Democratic Republic of Congo; Egypt; Estonia; Greece; Jordan; Kosovo; Latvia; Lebanon; Libya; Lithuania; Montenegro; Morocco; North Macedonia; Palestinian territories; Poland; Portugal; Romania; Russian Federation; Serbia; Slovenia; Syria; Tunisia; Türkiye; Ukraine; Uruguay; Uzbekistan; Vietnam.
  • Demonstrate very good English language skills (B2 or C1, depending on the desired study program – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR).
  • Not be a resident in Austria at the time of application.
  • Intend to pursue one of the specified Master’s degree programs at AAU and commence studies in the winter semester 2024/25.
Requirements Applicants must submit the following documents with the online application:

  1. Completed application form for admission to one of the Master´s degree programs listed above.
  2. Bachelor Certificate* and Transcript of Records from the Bachelor’s degree program.
  3. Complete Bachelor Thesis (copy of original).
  4. Abstract of Bachelor Thesis in German or English.
  5. Proof of English skills: Level B2 or C1, depending on the desired study program (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR) – C1 level is required for the Master’s degree in Game Studies and Engineering.
  6. Scan of a valid passport (data page with name and photo).
  7. Two letters of recommendation from university lecturers at the university where the Bachelor’s degree is being pursued/earned.
  8. In case applicants haven’t completed their Bachelor’s degree at the time of application, the graduation confirmation/Bachelor’s Certificate must be provided at the latest by March 6, 2024. For EU and EEA citizens, the graduation confirmation/Bachelor’s Certificate must be provided at the latest by mid-June 2024.                      Application link : Here

Coverage Monthly scholarship for the duration of max. 12 months: EUR 800

  1. One-time lump sum for travel costs between EUR 25 and EUR.
  2. The scholarship is awarded only in combination with the admission to one of the above listed degree programmes at the University of Klagenfurt.                                                                             Scholarship holders will be provided assistance when booking accommodation and applying for student health insurance in Austria and upon proven academic success exempted from paying tuition fees for the Master’s degree programme at the University of Klagenfurt for up to five semesters.
