Eligibility
  • GRE With a validity of 5 years from the date of application. ≥319 (Verbal + Quantitative) ≥3.5 (Analytical Writing).
  • Min. V score = 153;  Min. Q score = 149; Min. V+Q score = 319 Example, at least: V:170 + Q:149 (Min.) = 319 V:153 (Min.) + Q:166 = 319 OR GATE (India): With validity of 3 years from date of application.
  • Valid for Indian applicants who wish to use GATE instead of GRE. Minimum Percentile ≥97% Applicants with a Master’s degree from NTU or NUS with CGPA above 4.5 are exempted from GRE/GATE.
  • TOEFL With a validity of 2 years from the date of application.
  • Internet-based ≥105 OR IELTS With a validity of 2 years from the date of application.
  •  OR An official letter stating that English is used as the medium of instruction from the University (for at least 3 years) for your Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
  • Applicants with a Master’s degree from NTU or NUS with CGPA above 4.5 are exempted from TOEFL/IELTS.
Requirements To apply to SCELSE at NTU:

  1. Submit an online application, including official transcripts and research proposals, through the Graduate Research Admissions System.
  2. Within the application, select the following:
      • Program code: “IGPD-Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering”.
      • Scholarship: ‘NTU Research Scholarship’ and any other external scholarships that you may have applied for separately.

To apply to SCELSE at NUS:

  1. Submit an online application, including official transcripts and research proposals, through the Graduate Admission System.
  1. Within the application, select the following:
      1. Program type: “Research”.
      2. Faculty: ”NUS Grad Sch for Int Sci & Eng”.
      3.
